  • Recognize the value of the social commentary featured in the session’s topic.
  • Review an annotated bibliography listing topical titles.
  • Consider the National Economics Content Standards: Standard 1: Scarcity, Standard 2: Decision Making, Standard 3: Allocation, Standard 4: Incentives.

Description

The featured titles include cautionary tales from the past and the present that students should find fascinating. Using the provided lessons and activities, students will learn about money, entrepreneurship, scarcity, and the allocation of limited resources. Included are classroom-ready lessons, online teacher resources and an annotated bibliography. It is to be noted that the students do not need to have read the books to successfully participate in the lessons.
